In this workshop you will make a lined drawstring pouch that has front pockets and a boxed base.
This workshop is ideal for beginners looking to improve their skills and confidence on the sewing machine or for anyone looking for a fun new project.
You will get to grips with following a pattern, cutting out fabric, using interfacing, using your sewing machines to construct the bags, insert a lining and add some topstitching for a professional finish.
Numbers in the group will be small, so plenty of time for 1:1 help if needed. This all means that you will take home a beautifully finished pouch.
You will need to bring a sewing machine (ideally with its manual if you have it!), fabric for your pouch and sewing thread for your machine (full details will be provided following booking).
Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided along with interfacing and cord for the drawstring needed for the project. **Part of the cost is purchasing a copy of the #weebrawbag by Laura
Cunningham which will be yours to take home.
Unless otherwise stated, workshops and classes are suitable for adults or accompanied young people only.
